Do you dare to step out of your comfort zone?

The Finnish word "sisu" actually goes even further than our Dutch words "resilience" and "resilience. It is indeed about persevering, even or perhaps especially in situations where all odds seem to be stacked against you. Others talk about "going outside your comfort zone," and in fact that amounts to the same thing. Sisu focuses on the inner strength and courage it takes to actually take that step!

Could it perhaps be because of all those ice baths they take? Or is it because a sauna in the backyard does make everyone happy? Either way, the numbers don't lie. Even though the country has many dark moments (such as, for example, 1 sun hour per day in December):
